Just to keep our eyes on the future. Even though the history is interesting and hides all sorts of secrets and untold histories, the future is what counts more then ever. And the future holds a significant risk to be a short one at least for the bigger part of humanity.
As a counterweight to that pessimistic outlook let ´s see what bright side the future has if things keep going "well". Perhaps this is the way we and our children will be treated by medical science in the future.
