'A'isha radiaAllâhu anha skrev till Mu'awiyâh radiaAllâhu anhu;


"Salâmun 'alayk. Amma ba'd. Jag har hörde Profeten Sall Allâhu aleyhi wa Salâm say:


'Whoever seek the Pleasure of Allâh at the risk of displeasing the people (i.e thereby gains their anger), Allâh will take care of him and protect him from them. But whoever seeks the pleasure of the people at the risk of displeasing Allâh (i.e in the process he gains His Anger), Allâh will abandon him to the care of the people'


Wa Salâmu 'aleyk"!

Hadithens källa:

at-Tirmidhi (2414),

al-Baghawî i Sharh us Sunnah (4213)

Ibn ul-Mubarak i az-Zuhd (199)

Och de finns andra hadither som stödjer denna hos Ibn Hibbân (1541) och andra.

Och den finns även hos Ahmad i az-Zuhd med en autentisk kedja.

Imâm Nasir ud-Dîn al-Albâni rahimahullâh sade att hadithen är Sahîh (Autentisk) i sin verifiering av Sunan at-Tirmidhi.
